This is an independently developed game. It collects what it needs to run your account and nothing else. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party trackers of any kind in this game — not a reduced amount, none.

What is stored about you

• Your email address, so you can sign in and recover your account. If you sign in with Google or Discord instead of a password, the email comes from them. Steam does not give us an email (see below).
• Your game data — your spiders and their genetics, your Gold, your marketplace and stud listings, your keeper name, your custom marking designs, and the history behind them.
• Bug reports and feature requests you submit through the in-game form, along with the account that sent them.
• Your Steam or Discord account ID and display name, but only if you sign in with Steam or Discord. See the next section.
• VIP membership status if you hold one — the membership ID, its state, and any billing dates. Card and bank details have never been sent to this game and are never stored by it.

Signing in with Steam or Discord

You can sign in with Steam in the Steam version, or with Discord on the website and in the Discord Activity. We store only what we need to know it is you.

Steam. We store:

• your SteamID, the number Steam uses for your account;
• your Steam display name (persona name);
• which game account your SteamID is linked to, when it was linked, and when it was last used.

Steam does not give us an email address. If you start a new account through Steam, it gets a stand-in sign-in address made from your SteamID. That address has no inbox, and no mail is ever sent to it.

Discord. We store:

• your Discord user ID;
• your Discord display name;
• which game account your Discord ID is linked to, when it was linked, and when it was last used.

The first time you sign in with Discord, we also ask Discord for your email address. We use it only if Discord has verified it, to find your existing account or make a new one.

Why. To sign you in, and to show your name in the game. Your display name is updated each time you sign in.

What we never get. We never receive your Steam or Discord password. We never receive your payment details from Steam or Discord. Steam and Discord confirm who you are and give us only the details above.

Achievements. In the Steam version, the game tells Steam which achievements you have earned, so Steam can show them.

Removing it. Ask us to delete your account at the address below. That also deletes your Steam or Discord link. You can also remove the game from the Authorized Apps list in your Discord settings.

Passwords

Passwords are handled by the authentication service (Supabase) and are stored hashed. The game's own code never sees your password.

Location — optional, and only if you ask for it

The game can show real-world weather to compare against your spider's enclosure. If you use that feature and grant permission, your browser gives the page your device's approximate coordinates, which are sent to open-meteo.com to look up the forecast and place name. Your coordinates are not stored on our servers. You can decline the browser's permission prompt, or type a city name instead, and the rest of the game works exactly the same.

Stored in your browser

Your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, along with your "Keep me signed in on this computer" preference. If you turn that preference off, the session is kept only until you close the browser. None of this is an advertising cookie and none of it is shared.

Who else sees your data

These are service providers used to run the game, each handling only what its job requires:

• Supabase — database, accounts and authentication.
• Cloudflare — the multiplayer arcade servers.
• Discord — only if you sign in with Discord or play the Discord Activity.
• Valve (Steam) — only if you play the Steam version. Steam confirms who you are and shows your achievements.
• Google — only if you sign in with Google. Google Fonts also serves the game's typefaces.
• open-meteo — only if you use the weather feature.

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and it is not used to build an advertising profile.

Moderation

Keeper names, custom marking designs, and submitted reports can be reviewed by the game's administrator, so that names and player-drawn artwork shown to other players can be moderated. Moderation actions are logged.

Children

This game is for players 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact the address below and it will be removed.

Deleting your account

You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time by contacting the address below. Deletion removes your account, your spiders and your game history.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If the game ever starts collecting something materially new, that will be said plainly here rather than buried.
